calmbirth® practitioners are people who believe primarily in the natural process of childbirth. They are open to learn new ways, willing to work in a unique team, share knowledge and are, most importantly, interested in helping pregnant couples increase their options in their birthing process.
They believe when necessary, intervention during labour and childbirth, may be necessary. calmbirth® practitioners challenge the existing culture that promotes birth as a necessarily stressful experience.
The role of the calmbirth® practitioner is one of educator. During the calmbirth® childbirth classes the practitioner makes available to the pregnant couples, information and skills which make it possible to achieve a fear - free birth naturally, calmly and with joy.
calmbirth® practitioners have been specially prepared to understand and teach the calmbirth® childbirth education method to individual and small groups of couples who are expecting babies.
calmbirth® practitioners are professionals who are expected to achieve a minimum standard of excellence during their training and to maintain their quality of practice there after.
